Fun Fact Friday [56]

Hello and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, the place where I share facts about myself that aren’t linked to my cerebral palsy.

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, but I thought I’d bring it back this week because my mum and I have recently become addicted to watching The 4400. I know it’s a few years old now but it’s so good!

The ‘positive’ sides to sleepness nights

Between bad CP nights and a flare up in my anxiety I’ve been having a lot of sleepness nights.

It’s not all bad though.  Yes, it’s annoying sleeping late into the morning instead,  but I’ve noticed there are a few positive things to come out of it.

1. I’m reading loads
2. I’m listening to a lot of music and adding more stuff to my writing playlist
3. I usually get writing ideas as I’m trying to go to sleep.
4. I tend to do physio when I’m having a bad cerebral palsy night or just struggling to sleep

I’ll admit that when I started writing this post I thought there were a lot more of them than I’ve listed here, but they all count.

Counting down to my next appointment

Believe me, I cannot wait for my next acupuncture appointment later on this week.

By the time I have it it will have been three weeks since my last one and it would appear that my hip pain thinks that’s a bit too long to wait.

Things were fine for the first two weeks or so. Sure, it bothered me a little bit, but once I’d got it to crack things settled down again.

However, week three has been a whole other story. I’m back to it causing me problems every night and making it hard to get comfortable. My back is also giving me jip, and the backache is also causing muscular pains in my chest and stomach too.

All of those things at once mean I’ve been getting very little sleep. Even only sorting out the hip pain will make a huge difference.

I can’t wait.

Pains I haven’t had for a while

It seems like my more common pains seem to go in cycles. The top of my back will bother me for a while, then that will settle down a bit and the bottom of my back will start hurting. Then my hamstrings, then the top of back. Then the bottom. Then my hamstrings.

You get the idea.

However, the last couple of weeks have been a bit surprising because I’ve been dealing with something that hasn’t bothered me for about three years or so.

Thank you so much

Hey guys,

I just wanted to write a thank you post to all of you for your lovely comments and messages of support on my last post, and on the YouTube video I’d made along the same lines about a week before.

I’ll admit that when I wrote my last post I was feeling really quite down and I did it mostly because I wanted to feel like I was doing something productive, even though I actually spent all of that day in my PJs, drifting in and out of sleep and watching anime. I wasn’t even going to post it, but my boyfriend said he thought I should. I’m really glad he encouraged me to do that.
