I’m going to guess that you all know what I’m talking about by now when I talk about my mystery hip pain – the one that bothered me on and off for a couple of years for reasons no one could work out, but, somehow, some acupuncture sessions got rid of? Yeah, I know, I’m sick of hearing myself talk about it too.
Well, I have news.
I fell over the other day and now it seems to be back.
Don’t get me wrong, it has occasionally hurt at night just before I go to sleep, but until a few days ago it always went away if I got my hip to crack. Not now though. Now it seems to be back most of the time, and getting my bones to clik and clunck doesn’t seem to get rid of it.
I can’t say for certain that it was the fall that caused this flare up, but it seems highly likely in my non-medical opinion. Apart from my sore hip, I’m fine. I was a bit shaken up on the day of the fall, ( I missed hitting my head on my bedroom wall by a couple of cenitmetres, I reckon), and I’ve been a bit wobbly since. I tripped over because I got my feet caught in my PJ bottoms. I’ve not idea how, but I gave up questions stuff like that a long time ago, but I think I’m still unsteady because all .my muscles have been feeling really, really tight lately. Especially in my calves. I feel like I could do with a deep tissue massage or something, but the thought of going for any kind of massage scares me.
I’m going to give it a week or two and if it’s no better I might see if a doctor will refer me for some more acupuncture sessions.
