If the title of this post didn’t already tip you off, I have a cold. An unquenchable thirst-inducing, all over body aching kind of cold, and, I swear; it’s never felt so good.
I know, I know, you’re probably sitting there staring at the screen wondering what the heck I’m going on about, but here me out.
When my body is achy and sore because of a cold feels different to my body when it’s achy and sore because of my cerebral palsy. Yes, sometimes I do get hit by days where I’m ill and having a bad CP day all at once, and those days are Hell. Today is not one of them. Today is one of those days where my cerebral palsy pains are so minor that the general achiness that comes with a cold is drowning then out, and it feels so good!
Anyone can feel like this when they have a cold, cerebral palsy or not cerebral palsy, and it’s so nice to hurt for a reason that isn’t because of my disability. I’ve had so, so many bad CP days lately that it’s nice to have something different going on with my body. This feels like a totally level playing field.
I feel so happy right now. I feel free.
