Fun Fact Friday [5]

Hello and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, a feature in which I share facts about myself that aren’t linked to my Cerebral Palsy.

Today I want to let you all know that my favorite animal is a panda.

I have loads of panda-themed things from teddy bears to ornaments and notebooks. As you can see I also have this hoody, which I love!

Bonus points to anyone who spots the panda teddy in the background!

Fun Fact Friday [4]

Happy Fun Fact Friday folks! This is a feature in which I post a fun fact about myself that I don’t feel relates to my Cerebral Palsy.

This week, I want to talk about pet peeves or pet hates. I have quite a few but rather than tell you them all at once, I’ll focus on the thing that perhaps bugs me the most: people leaving plugs in the ‘on’ position when there is no plug in it.

Does this annoy you too
Does this annoy you too?

Every time I walk past one in a public place I have to try really hard not to switch it off. My family also know that this gets on my nerves, so if they are feeling  in a mischievous mood, they will leave plugs that I can’t reach like this to see how long it takes me to notice.

What are your pet hates?

Fun Fact Friday [3]

Hello everyone and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, a feature in which I post something about myself that you might not know about me otherwise, because it doesn’t necessarily come up in conversation about how my Cerebral Palsy impacts on my life.

So far, I’ve told you all that I’m learning ventriloquism, and that I the book I like the most is My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

This week, I’ve decided to share with you all what my favourite movie is…

It’s Juno!

I am a big fan of both Ellen Page and Michael Cera so that probably has a lot to do with why I like the film so much. I also adore the soundtrack. It always helps lift my mood if I’m not feeling great.

Do you have a favourite movie?

Fun Fact Friday [2]

For anyone who didn’t see it last week, Fun Fact Friday is a new feature in which I post a fun fact about myself that doesn’t involve my Cerebral Palsy.

Some of you may have gathered by now that I love to read, so this week I’m going to tell you all what my favourite book is.

I love this book
I love this book

It’s My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. I fell in love with this book when I first read it while I was still in highschool. I cried for ages after I’d read it. I still haven’t watched the movie though.

That’s all for now folks, I’m off to make a cup of tea and dive into the book I’m currently reading. At the time of writing this post it’s Lisey’s Story by Stephen king.

Fun Fact Friday [1]

Hello and welcome to a new feature here on View from A Walking Frame that I’ve decided to call Fun Fact Friday.

What does this involve, I hear you ask? Well, I’ll tell you.

This blog is a disability blog in which I talk about my life with Cerebral Palsy and how it affects me, with fun little stories about the adventures that I have with my walking frame Martha and my wheelchair Agatha thrown in for good measure.

Although my CP is part of me, (a part that I wouldn’t change as long time readers of the blog probably know), but I don’t ever let it define me as a person. I have lots of hobbies and interests that I don’t often mention on this blog because, as I already said, this is a disability blog.

With this is mind, I’ve decided to start doing Fun Fact Friday in which I share a fun fact about myself that I don’t feel has any connection to my CP.

Does this sound like fun to you?

So today’s fun fact is…

I’ve been learning ventriloquism since last summer.

Oscar and I
Oscar and I

I’d like to introduce you all to Oscar my wonderful furry puppet (or ‘figure’ to use the proper term). I’m not brilliant at it yet, as he often likes to tell me, but practice makes perfect. Oh, and he also keeps complaining because I haven’t taken the tags off him yet.

Why not join in and tell me a fun fact about yourself, or do similar posts or your blog and leave a link in the comments?

Happy Fun Fact Friday guys!
