Hello and welcome to Fun Fact Friday where I share facts about myself that aren’t linked to my cerebral palsy.
Today’s fact is that I am actually writing this post on Sunday evening (five days early). However my fun fact Friday posts are usually written on the spot.
Thinking of new facts is also getting difficult.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve made light of my disability and often make jokes about it too. Sometimes other people are shocked by this, or I can tell they want to laugh they’re not sure if they should or not.
The thing is, I’ve got my cerebral palsy for life and no amount of being sad about it for wishing things were different will change that, so I would much rather spend time laughing about it and seeing the funny side. I think a lot of other people I know feel the same.
Thankfully, I don’t get much in the way of arm pain anymore. My shoulders used to hurt quite badly when I was younger because of the way I stood, my my surgery a few years ago seemed to solve that problem nicely.
That said, over the weekend, I got quite a bad bout of shoulder pain that I think started in my back and went down into my right arm. This may not sound like much, but I was surprised at just how much bother it caused me.
