The waiting game

Let me kick off this post by saying that I’m sorry this post has been a long time coming, well probably not as long as it feels like it’s been to me, bu lots of things have been going on round here and I needed some time to wrap my head around it before I wrote about it.

So, as some of you may have seen on the blog’s Facebook page I’ve had to have a hip x-ray for the hip pain that has been keeping me awake at night for at least six months now because it’s got to the point where it is aching constantly through the day too.

At the recommendation of a physio, I’ve been using a tense machine for the last few days and that’s helped a lot, but I’m still waiting for the x-ray results in the hope that will finally give us some answers. The uncertainty isn’t nice but I’m trying to stay hopeful that it’s nothing too bad, but whatever it is, I’ll deal with it.

I’ve also got appointments with orthotics and physio this month so I’m hoping we can all work together to put something into place that will help

On a lighter note, as some of you may have also noticed, I’m taking part in National Novel Writing Month this month (something which challenges participants to write 50,000 words of a novel in the 30 days of November) which is keeping me pretty busy. I’ve decided to write a story about a 16-year-old girl with Cerebral Palsy.  Who knows, maybe you’ll all get to read it. I want to talk about that some more in another post. It’s the first time I’ve written a character that has the same disability as me so it’s being quite interesting for lots of reasons.

Thanks for sticking with me guys. I’ll hopefully have news for you all about my hip soon.
