Fun Fact Friday [7]

Hello and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, a feature in which I share facts about myself that aren’t linked to my Cerebral Palsy.

Today, I want to talk about phobias. I have quite a few myself. I won’t go in the sea because I’m scared of crabs, I hate the thought of getting on a boat, and I’m pretty scared of dogs too. Especially the ones I don’t know. I mean, what if they jump up at me and knock me over?

Those are just a few, but those are not the things that scare me most of all. Oh, no. My biggest phobia is the eight-legged-creepy-crawly things that we call spiders.  Even small ones have been known to make me scream, have a racing heart and, make me try my best to run away in case they come after me.

One started crawling up my bed sheets once. I was nearly sick. You probably think I’m joking. I’m not.

One spun down from the ceiling on its web and landed in my hair once while I was reading and landed in my hair. My mother says she’s never seen me move so fast. My family thought it was hilarious. Needless to say, I did not.

I wish I  could say that I can get close enough to them to catch them them in a glass, but I can’t even do that for the following reasons:

  1. It involves getting close to the spider
  2. If it’s on the floor I have trouble bending down to reach it
  3. It involves getting close to the spider
  4. It might drop it or fall over and then I’d have no idea where they thing scurried off to
  5. It involves getting close to the spider

So yeah, in summary, today’s Fun Fact Friday is that I hate spiders.

Hello and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, a place where I share facts about myself that aren’t linked to my Cerebral Palsy.

I’m really excited to share this week’s fun fact with you all. It’s been really hard not to already post it all over the Facebook page and my Twitter account, but now I can finally tell you all.

For the last 10 months or so I have been working away on a novel; a superntural detective story, and I am no really pleased to say that the first draft is complete and I’ve now started on the editing process. I’m finding it both scary and fun!

I’d love to publish it one day but I know that it’s not ready for that yet.

Hello and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, a feature in which I share facts about myself that aren’t linked to my Cerebral Palsy.

Today I want to let you all know that my favorite animal is a panda.

I have loads of panda-themed things from teddy bears to ornaments and notebooks. As you can see I also have this hoody, which I love!

Happy Fun Fact Friday folks! This is a feature in which I post a fun fact about myself that I don’t feel relates to my Cerebral Palsy.

This week, I want to talk about pet peeves or pet hates. I have quite a few but rather than tell you them all at once, I’ll focus on the thing that perhaps bugs me the most: people leaving plugs in the ‘on’ position when there is no plug in it.

Does this annoy you too
Does this annoy you too?

Every time I walk past one in a public place I have to try really hard not to switch it off. My family also know that this gets on my nerves, so if they are feeling  in a mischievous mood, they will leave plugs that I can’t reach like this to see how long it takes me to notice.

What are your pet hates?

Hello everyone and welcome to Fun Fact Friday, a feature in which I post something about myself that you might not know about me otherwise, because it doesn’t necessarily come up in conversation about how my Cerebral Palsy impacts on my life.

So far, I’ve told you all that I’m learning ventriloquism, and that I the book I like the most is My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult.

This week, I’ve decided to share with you all what my favourite movie is…

It’s Juno!

I am a big fan of both Ellen Page and Michael Cera so that probably has a lot to do with why I like the film so much. I also adore the soundtrack. It always helps lift my mood if I’m not feeling great.

Do you have a favourite movie?
